CAMERA EQUIPMENT LOANS

The DEC has two types of cameras available for loan: cameras designed for journalistic activities and cameras more suited to creating fiction and documentary recordings. All sets of camera equipment include, as standard, a case, batteries, cables and handheld microphones.

The Electronic News Gathering (ENG) sets of equipment feature a Sony PXW-Z190 camera with a Sachtler ACE-M tripod and a professional Manfrotto bag. Additionally, if necessary, these can be supplemented with a Rode NTG5 shotgun microphone with carbon fibre boom pole and AKG 47p lavalier microphones.

For fiction and documentary filming (Electronic Field Production - EFP), the equipment includes a Canon C-100 MKII camera, with interchangeable lenses, and, again, the Sachtler ACE-M tripods and a professional Manfrotto bag. If required, the equipment may also be supplemented with a Zoom H5, H6, F1 or F8 portable recorder, a Rode NTG5 shotgun microphone with a carbon fibre boom pole and AKG 47p lavalier microphones.

LIGHTING EQUIPMENT

There are two types of lighting equipment: the TV reportage lighting equipment and the fiction and documentary lighting equipment.

The TV reportage lighting equipment consists of a bag containing a panel-type LED spotlight and a spot-type LED spotlight, with tripods, an extension lead and colour-temperature correction gels.

The fiction and documentary lighting equipment consists of a bag containing a panel-type LED light, a spot-type LED light and a Fresnel-type LED light, as well as tripods, a power extension lead and colour-temperature correction gel

MULTIMEDIA EQUIPMENT

The Department has a range of professional-standard multimedia equipment designed to facilitate the creation of audiovisual and sound content in teaching contexts and communication projects.

For podcast production and voice recordings, we have Blue Yeti Studio Pro microphones, as well as specialised portable devices such as the Zoom PodTrak P4 and the Zoom F8 recorder and mixer, which enable precise and flexible control of sound in different recording formats.

For audiovisual multimedia production, we have a Sony ZV-E10 II camera, which is particularly suitable for recording vlogs, interviews and pieces for digital environments. This equipment can be complemented by the DJI Mic Pro and DJI Mic 2 wireless microphone systems, which provide versatility and mobility to recording sessions, even in scenarios where work is carried out directly with mobile phones.

AUDIO PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT

For radio production and sound recordings, the DEC has Zoom H5, H6, F1 and F8 portable recorders, along with the right microphones for each occasion.

The DEC has 19 shotgun Sony, Sennheiser or Rode microphones plus carbon fibre booms, cables, bag and windscreen. Sennheiser e835 handheld dynamic microphones, AKG 47p lavalier microphones and URV windscreens.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Complete Canon and Nikon sets of photography equipment are available for reportage and documentary photography. Twelve of them are DSLR and five are mirrorless.

These sets can be accompanied by accessories such as camera flashes (Nikon, Canon, Metz, Nissin) with wireless triggers, Godox AD300 Pro cases with a total of 6 remote-controlled standalone flashes, and optical filters.
