Discourses, actors and citizens in the communicative construction of conflicts

The International Chair of Excellence in Communication URV-REPSOL and the Dept. of Communication Studies, together with the Faculty of Arts of the URV and the Association of Political Communication (ACOP), organize the seminar 'Discourses, actors and citizens in the communicative construction of conflicts' the next October 24 at the URV.

The seminar is conceived as the presentation of the call for articles of the special issue 11.2 of the Catalan Journal of Communication and Cultural Studies, which will be published in the autumn of 2019 and which wants to collect the research that is being carried out around the study of communicative construction of conflicts, with special attention in the Catalan case.

In order to discuss this issue, three speakers of national and international scope have been invited to share the results of their research in this regard. Between 09.30 and 13.30, Dr. Cristina Perales, from the Pompeu Fabra University, and Dr. Marc Esteve del Valle, from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen - University of Groningen, will approach the audience to different aspects of the communicative construction of the Catalan conflict, while Dr. Marina Dekavalla, from the University of Sussex, will provide the perspective of the Scottish case.
