Characteristics

Master's degree: Master's degree in Strategic Communication in the Risk Society
Available spots: There are 30 available spots in each academic course.
Type: Face-to-face. Due to its methodology, the assistance in class is very important.
Duration: 60 ECTS credits. MASTERDEC can be studied in 1 year (full-time) or in 2 years (part-time).
Calendar: The academic course starts on 3 October 2017 and ends on 30 June 2018.
Timetable: · Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
If part-time, 2 or 3 days a week.
Language of instruction: · Spanish (80-90%): Most of the subjects and activities are in Spanish, due to the high number of international students.
· English (10-20%): Is recommended to understand spoken and written English as some subjects and compulsory activities are in this language without any type of transaltion or adaptation. 
Where: Campus Catalunya at the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona
Price: The university reviews the master's degree prices every year. The overall cost of the MASTERDEC (including all concepts: enrolment and fees) is approximated between €2,800 and €3,000.

                                                                

Admission

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the MASTERDEC you will have to provide:
- A university degree
- Academic transcript
- Curriculum Vitae 
- Letter of motivation
- Students from countries where Spanish is not spoken must have a Spanish oral and written comprehension and expression equivalent to level B2.

URV Students

Students from Spanish universities

- DNI, NIE or passport (foreign students only).
- Degree certificate that entitles you to be admitted to the master's programme (if you do not have the certificate, you can present the receipt to show that you have paid the issuance fee). 
- Academic transcript listing the subjects studied, grades and number of hours/credits for each of them.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Letter of motivation.

Students from a foreign university

- NIE o Passport.
- University qualification that entitles you to be admitted to the master's programme. You must present the certificate. The graduation certificate is not valid in this case.
- Academic transcript listing the subjects studied, grades and number of hours/credits for each of them. It must also contain information about the grading system applied.
- Letter of motivation.

Admission Period

MASTERDEC has three admission periods, which are both opened if there are available spots. There are 30 posts to fill.

1st period: from 1 March to 30 May 2017 
2nd period: from 1 June to 21 July 2017
3rd period (only if vacancies): from 1 to 19 September 2017
